JET RECORDS DISCOGRAPHY

The familiar Jet Records label which often greeted ELO fans ...
Hello ... Hello ... my old friends ... It's great to see you once again! Most ELO fans will be aware that the bands most commercially successful period in the UK and USA were when they were signed to Don Arden's Jet Records label between 1974 and 1983.

The label was distributed by IslandPolydor, United Artists and CBS Records in the period in which we saw multiple Arden managed ELO related and other artistes signed to Jet [sometimes it was jokingly named 'Jeff Records' by insiders!], including Mik Kaminski's ViolinskiPhil Bates' Trickster and Wilson Gale amongst many others. I had the idea the other day to create a new Facebook group entitled JET RECORDS to explore the career of this enigmatic ELO dominated label and the artistes it featured.
Jet Records were sometimes jokingly renamed 'Jeff Records' by insiders ...
Quite by accident, Yours Truly KJS has also discovered a most interesting and informative web site which lists the most expansive discography of the Jet Records career that I've come across to date. There's even an entry for the aborted second ELO EP [#ELO2] and the May 1978 re-issue of the ELO single "Turn To Stone" [#SJET103] - both rarities deserving of more ELO Beatles Forever [ELOBF] investigation in future days.

By clicking on the above link, you can check out the decade plus long career of a record label that hosted "the finest rock band in the world" [quoting the words of the late, great Tony Curtis].

Until next "Time" in the ELO [and related] Universe ... KJS ... 20-March-2012
